Expression of Interest for Board Positions 2024–25
The Counselling Foundation of Canada is a private family foundation based in Toronto, ON (the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Petun, Haundenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Mississauga Anishinaabe of New Credit) that champions life-long learning and career development for people in Canada. As a grantmaking foundation, we support initiatives in Canada from coast to coast to coast that help young people with their career development.
The Counselling Foundation of Canada is recruiting members to join our national, volunteer, governance Board of Directors. Our Board Members bring a variety of skills, experiences, knowledge and understanding of diverse contexts and constituents to help guide our work. The Counselling Foundation is committed to Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) in all of our governance policies, practices and processes.
We are looking for individuals passionate about building a more prosperous, equitable and inclusive society in the context of our mission. For this recruitment cycle, the ideal candidate(s) will:
- Reside in a part of Canada that helps balance regional representation on our national Board
- Have experience working within philanthropy, a charitable organization or a not-for-profit organization
- Have expertise in the K – 12 public education sector
