Trina Maher

Trina is a member of Mattagami First Nation, a well-known strategist of Indigenous corporate inclusion, a recognized leader of Indigenous career development internationally, and a well-known advocate for personal leadership and well-being. Since the late 1990s she has been helping industries and Indigenous community agencies connect to create strategic pathways for Indigenous peoples to enjoy meaningful careers in Canadian workplaces.

Trina balances this work with her commitment to Indigenous nation building by providing professional development to Indigenous community organizations on topics of human resources and career pathing. She has had the opportunity to work in every province and territory of Canada, as well as supporting career development for Native American and Australian Aboriginal peoples. 

She is an adult educator, curriculum designer and master facilitator who fosters customized cross cultural learning experiences, labour-market development projects, and has guided Indigenous community engagement processes and socio-economic studies for resource and infrastructure projects across Canada.

Trina is an influential keynote speaker, storyteller, author and educator who has helped foster meaningful reconciliation conversations that motivates mindsets towards the co-creation of mutually beneficial Indigenous and Canadian relationships for our future ancestors to thrive in a harmonious and equitable community.
